From time to time, we venture southwest out of Woodbridge to the Copleston area of Ipswich to a place called Orwell Country Park (OCP). OCP has a half-dozen or so groomed and maintained paths through old-grown pine and deciduous forest and some which lead down to the banks of the River Orwell*. A lovely walk/picnic spot!
*For those in the $tates: think in terms of w-i-d-e Intracoastal or New Paltz section of the Hudson with the robust nose of Long Island Sound. Mmmm!
The picture of Kai (right) was taken at a spot about 250ft from the entrance of OCP. I'm not sure of the name of the place but it is a hill which looks like a massive earthen launch ramp. This is where the pic of Kai was taken!
This pic, taken on the same day, is of Kai and Jack playing at the foot of the big hill whose name we know not.

What a looker!
Theres this great photo spot near our house; an alley with a nice old yellow Suffolk brick wall. Whether it is 12noon on a sunny day or late evening, this place gets a really even and ethereal light...everywhere with no discernable source! oooOOOOoooooohhhh!
Here's some shots of Jack with Kai to follow soon.

For this one I asked him to make a tiny smile!
This is a nice one to finish on as it is actually the first shot I took of Jack for this session.

Lovely weather...Lets menace the park!
Weather-wise, it has been spectacular for the past few days and me and the squids have been going to the park for several hours at a time.
Im starting to have more of an appreciation for just what my D50 can do; I've started to take it out of AUTO mode more often and have been playing around with Aperture and Shutter Speeds and the Spot Metering feature. Hopefully, the shots will get more creative and profeshinul looking!
