Sunday at Mark + Jette's Retreat for the Economically Impaired.

Sunday spend at M+J's crabbing, lunching (not on the crabs) and playing with the kiddies.
A quad of jibber jabber crabbers.

A pair of not-too-shabby crabbers.

A lovely day out!

We went to BEAUTIFUL Fritton Lake today! I loved it, the kids loved it, Hannah loved it and it was good and we will return again!

After Fritton Lake, we went to Southwold and played and looked for amber on the beach! Ahhhhh!

Standing on the shore of Eternity, by Calvin Kline.

She cannae take na' more, Captain!

Is that amber? No. Is this amber? No. Is that amber? No.
Is this amber? Ooh, wait, no.

"The Duck Pond"? Why is it called "The Duck Pond"?

We fed the ducks today after Jack and I picked up Kai from school.

Smile and say "3:45am cheese!"

This morning I went with Brian Gowing ( www.briangowinggraphics.co.uk ) to take some sunrise photos at Shingle Street Beach and spotted the Suffolk Punch Horses on our way back to Woodbridge.

Sports Day, 12th July 2006

3-Legged Race.
preparation is the key...

Whoops!

Ready and waiting!
Potatoe and spoone race (formerly egg and spoon race)
Speedy Gonzales!

It was a lovely day to watch the sports day at Kai's school. She tried hard, and did very well.

After some persuasion jack joined in the toddler race. He thundered along the track and was in the lead, just as he was about to cross the line a woman ran past and dragged her kid behind her (the kids feet were not even on the floor, and he was being dragged by one arm).

At which point Jack stared at her, stopped in his tracks, and cried his eyes out.

Another mum encouraged him to finish. Some other mums came to him and tried to comfort him by saying "You were the real winner Jack, that lady cheated", and "Its a toddlers race and you won it".

Jack stopped crying.

It's amazing the lengths some parents will go to for their kid to win.

And touch your toes........
"I am listening!"

Punishment used to mean the rack....now it's the uneven bars!
Transendental meditation for the under 5's.
"You are under my control".

Hardcore Downhilla Killa, innit ! ! !

Hannah and I dropped the squids with Audrey while we went biking around Alton Water. Hannah has been biking to/fro work (in good weather for early shfts) since April and has built up quite a stamina for pedalwork. I, on the other hand, have not been on my bike since, oh, I'd say this time last year. I've put on half a stone on top of the stone I lost when I was dieting really well last year and my heart and lungs have filed a joint grievance against me citing long-term abuse and neglect.
Stylee.
Canin' it !
And after all the fun and frolicking in the woods, we retired to Audrey's house for t-bones, salad and a Manor House Cake with a Chihuahua baked in it. Scrummy!
